Despite the bad jokes and the ill-conceived notions, root canal therapy can be your tooth's BFF (best friend forever!) because it can save you tooth. No matter how effective modern tooth replacements are, nothing is as good as a natural tooth. Patients all over New Castle County agree that after receiving treatment they were able to return to work in total comfort the same day.

These are custom made restorations that completely cover your tooth to repair and strengthen damaged teeth. Older porcelain fused-to-metal crowns often left a dark gray area at the gumline; newer porcelains are so strong that base metals are no longer needed. All-porcelain crowns have the ability to create translucency, providing a natural, life-like appearance. We use one of the premier dental ceramic labs in the country: Dental Creations of Delaware.

Implant Supported Tooth Replacements
When a tooth is lost, the bone that previously surrounded the tooth melts away. When several teeth are missing, the facial structure may collapse as the jaw deteriorates over time. As substitute tooth roots, implants bond with the bone to form a stable foundation for permanent replacement teeth that look, feel and function like natural teeth. Dental implant treatment restores the beauty of your natural smile.

Bonding
Tooth-colored materials are attached (bonded) to a tooth surface to improve the appearance of teeth that are chipped, broken, cracked, stained , or have spaces between them. Discolored, mis-shapen and rotated teeth can be corrected, with a minimal amount of enamel reduction (ie: drilling). Bonding is a conservative method to enhance your smile, where the imperfections are not major ones.

Interceptive Orthodontics (Braces)
Bad bites lead to cavities, worn teeth, gum disease and jaw joint problems. Treatment often begins between age nine and 13, when problems are first discovered, so as to provide optimal results while the child is still growing. An attractive smile is a critical form of communication and social interaction. Correcting a crooked smile may give your child a boost of confidence!
Non-Metal Bridges
Strength and beauty in an incredible combination! Dr. Gladnick will restore your smile to its original perfection. Missing side and front teeth have been replaced without displaying the grey shadow so common to most bridgework.
A bridge will fill the space left by the loss of one or more teeth and it a beautiful solution to a smile that is compromised by lost teeth.

Periodontics (Gums)
Periodontal diseases are infections that destroy the tissues and bone that support teeth. Poor brushing and flossing habits allow bacteria to burrow below the gums and attack your bone. Smoking, ill-fitting dental work, and diabetes all contribute to the progression of gum infections. Recent research suggests there is a link between periodontal (gum) disease and heart disease. That's why it is so important that your dentist evaluates the health of your gums.
